Collective Product Review!

As promised last week, I’m back with something that I haven’t done in a long time: a collective product review! This will replace the seasonal favourites that I used to.

The Shampoo 9/10

This shampoo is so good! It is extremely moisturizing and leaves the hair soft and conditioned. I’m so used to stripping shampoos that this felt too good to be true. My sister has natural hair and mine is relaxed and we both love it. She would use it every day because she has severely dry hair but I would have to alternate with something less moisturizing because I get product build up very easily.

The Conditioning Treatment 8/10

It isn’t as moisturizing on its own as I expected it to be but I think it’s because it is designed to work with the (very moisturizing) shampoo. They go very well together and the hair feels soft, strong and smells amazing. The packaging is a bit of an inconvenience for me. A pump or the same top as the shampoo would have been better.

The Leave-In Conditioner 9.5/10

I have been using this for years now and it is a staple of mine. I’m currently cheating on it with the Aphogee Leave-In but I wanted to throw it in here since I’ve never really spoken about it. I love it so much and it works perfectly on my hair. It is perfect for blowouts and flat ironing because it is light and adds shine.

The Edge Control Paste 7/10

I use this to secure my edges in place when I have freshly relaxed hair because they get pretty unruly. This is not the best option for natural afro hair in my opinion because it doesn’t hold for very long.

Gliss Kur Total Repair Mask 9.5/10

I am in love with this mask! It makes my hair feel so soft strong and manageable. I regret sleeping on products targeted to the beige people because I could have discovered this sooner! The packaging makes it seem thick but it’s pretty runny (like a regular conditioner).

Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil 8/10

This is the first micellar water I’ve used and to be honest, I’m a bit confused when it comes to what micellar water really is. Whatever it is, I think I like it! I use it as makeup remover before washing my face and it does a fantastic job. I’ve also tried using it afterwards and not rinsing and though my face doesn’t feel oily, it doesn’t feel moisturized either so I have to add moisture on top.

The Matching Make up Removing Wipes 7/10

I like these too. They are as moisturizing as the former and they give the same sensation.

There you have it folks! My current opinion on these products. Let me know if you’ve used them and what you think.

See you next week!
