My Sister’s Transition | #1

My sister decided (with great influence from me) that she wanted to see her natural hair about a year ago. Our first attempt at transitioning (stopping with relaxers and letting the natural hair grow out) officially failed in August 2014. We haven’t relaxed her hair since then.

Here is seven months worth of new growth. It’s hard to get the texture on camera because it doesn’t look the way it does in real life. I think we’re gonna big chop (cut off the relaxed ends) soon because it’s getting harder and harder to manage the two different textures. The last time I washed her hair, the relaxed ends were so tangled!imageimage

We are very excited to start messing around with her little afro.
